Whirled Pies (opening for Glitterfox)

Super stoked to be opening for Glitterfox, an awesome band from Portland. Doors at 6 pm, music starts at 7.

Facebook event.

Tickets $20.

About Glitterfox: The Portland based band Glitterfox has released five singles in just six months under their new record label Kill Rock Stars, with two more arriving this Spring. The band’s been growing steadily since “Drive” came out in August 2023, with their indie rock recipe that deftly balances Southern songwriting shine and nostalgia-fueled anthems.

The four-piece band’s songwriters and front persons, married couple Solange Igoa and Andrea Walker, have always channeled their personal struggles as well as experiences as queer, neurodiverse individuals into their songwriting. Bassist Eric Stalker and drummer Blaine Heinonen bring a love of Americana, grunge, and dance music into the mix. All of these influences can be heard on the band’s latest singles, produced by Chris Funk of The Decemberists, and in their spirited live shows as they prepare for their full-length album debut in 2025.

Sam Bonds Garage with Courtney Renea (opening for Cory Phillips)

We’re opening for Cory Phillips, playing a special selection of originals and covers that we rarely do.

We’re on at 8, Cory Phillips is on at 9.

From Cory Phillips’s website: Cory Phillips is an exceptionally gifted and unique singer and versatile songwriter. Known for his soulful and sensual performances, he is one of the best male voices around today. As the commanding leader of the bedroom funk-disco and r&b supergroup Cory Phillips & the Band of Light, he consistently delivers concerts filled with intellect, warmth, and sexuality that leave audiences captivated. Their sultry live shows raze a party with modern retro jams that keep audiences swooning to tender anthems and love sexsplosions. Their unmistakable talent and artistry were exquisitely captured on their latest studio album SEX THIRSTY LOVE HUNGER, a dirty bouquet of groove, pop, and soul that reached #28 on the Billboard New R&B Albums chart.

They’re some of my favorite cookies. We’re on from 6:30-7, followed by Casanostra.
